John Balch Teaching

Founder and Director of the Vermont Chess Camp, John was an active friend and mentor to students across the entire State of Vermont.

John passionately believed that learning chess helped children to use their minds well. His work with Vermont schools touched the lives of thousands of children.

Filling John's shoes is an impossible task, but we will faithfully endeavor to bring the Game of Kings to children throughout Vermont.
